Masik Shiv Ratri Vrat
Masik Shiv Ratri (Pradosh) Vrat, occurring on Trayodashi tithi of every month, is kept by devotees who are planning to have children. This vrat is held during the evenings and offers prayers to Shiv Ji and Maha Gauri Mata. The vrat is completed after evening prayers, and devotees can then take part in a meal.
Maha Shiv Ratri, which falls on Chaturdashi tithi of Phalgun maas, Krishna paksh, is considered the most significant of the Shiv Ratri Vrats during the year (indicated in bold below).
